Iβm a simple girl when it comes to cosmetics. I havenβt worn concealer since the birth of my second child, almost 8 years ago.
Since having lash extensions applied professionally, my makeup routine consists of putting on blush and maybe some lipgloss.
Eyelash extensions are technically are not a natural part of my anatomy but daaaaaaaamn! Just look at them! They look so natural π

I have always fooled around with #falsies . I am learning over time, which ones work and which ones donβt.
So far, my top pick would be #falsies that are magnetic. The issue I have, is I donβt wear heavy eye makeup. When I apply the thin layer of magnetic liner for the #lash to adhere to, it is obvious I am wearing them.

The 3 step application process.
First, you discuss they type of look you are trying to achieve. I was easy, natural please! There are several to choose from 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D Mink, Silk and Synthetic lashes. Thankfully, you don’t need to 100% know all of this before going in for your appointment. They will help you pick your first visit. Once we were on the same page, she went to work.

Next, the eustachian will place these soft pads under each eye like pictured here β¬οΈ This is not painful. They are specially made, and are very soft.
Finally, the lashes are strategically applied to your natural lashes. One #falsie to every real. This is the time consuming part. This is very daunting for the eustachian. I however, could have easily fallen asleep during this process π€
The applying process can take several hours. My first visit was 4. Yes, 4 hours. She was brand new. I loved the outcome so much, I would do it again for even longer if I had to. We took plenty of breaks so it didnβt even feel like it was 4 hours.
PSA- One important thing to remember during application is to keep your eyes closed at all times. The glue used is very strong and will make your eyes sting and water. I can speak from personal experience.

Did you know your eye lashes have 3 layers? π€―.
After care
The after care is really, really simple. No mascara, brush lashes regularly with special brush and keep dry!

Keeping them dry is harder than you think! No crying! π
A βfillβ is required every 2-3 weeks. The total will cost me around $50- $100.00 per month to keep them looking great.
I highly recommend looking into eyelash extensions in your area!
Xoxo, Rachel
