Single at Christmas

This Christmas will be my first Christmas that I have celebrated alone since I was a teenager. So about 23 years. Time has been moving in warp speed.

Two marriages by the age of 38! According to society’s static’s, I should be deep in my sorrow and feeling so bad for myself right now and I’m not at all.

I’m actually the complete opposite. I am embracing this new adventure as a single woman.

Right??!

I have been soaking in ALL the Holiday Traditions, just alone. ⬇️

The kids and I are all signed up for a horse drawn sleigh ride πŸ’• 1st one ever!

I mean suuuuure, would a sleigh ride be better if I had a big strapping man to snuggle up with? Absolutely, but that’s not in my cards this year SO, we ride alone!

Honestly tho, why sulk because no one is around to do holiday festivities with or put a gift underneath the tree when YOU can do all these same things, and can pick out anything you want.

Talk about perfect timing for a little retail therapy πŸ’•.

I supported a new local business on Small Business Saturday and purchased some yummy smelling room sprays πŸ’•
Santa bought me my very first Sea Bag wristlet! All while supporting local businesses.

These are just a few things I purchased. I splurged and bought new Bearpaws, expensive perfume….lash extensions! See Eyelash extensions, obsessed!

My point is – being single during the holidays is all about perception. YOUR perception. πŸ’•

Soak it all in, and treat yourself for once!

I am enjoying every minute of this holiday season with the ones I love. We are soaking up any and all festive activities we can. Sleigh rides, light shows, holiday crafts…
